Who we are

Jorge H. Foglietta established his engineering consulting practice with J.H.Foglietta Consulting LLC. With more than thirty five years of experience in process technology and project engineering for the hydrocarbon processing industries his specific fields of experience include gas processing, petroleum refining and LNG.  He has held responsibilities that included strategic technology planning, technology development, process design, evaluation of facilities, design and selection of process equipment, safety analysis, construction, plant start-ups and operations troubleshooting.

His Gas processing experience includes the design, engineering and startup of several major NGL turboexpander units, nitrogen rejection plants, gas conditioning units, NGL fractionation, development of LNG technology, sulfur recovery and refinery fuel gas liquids recovery units. Mr. Foglietta developed  and co-developed more  than 15 patents in the area of cryogenic gas processing and LNG.

Refining experience includes projects for both engineering and operating companies having fluid handling of all the commercial processes of the refining industry, e.g. crude distillation, catalytic cracking, delayed coking, catalytic reforming, polymerization, hydrogenation, alkylation, lube oil processing and asphalt blowing.

Petrochemical experience includes major petrochemical complex studies involving technologies for Ethylene, BTX, MTBE, methanol, dimerization, synthesis gas and oxy-alcohols, and fertilizers.

He began his career in Argentina where he worked for 12 years holding positions as process engineer and project engineer at Esso Argentina, Degremont, Shell CAPSA,  and Tauro Engineering.  In 1989 he established in Houston, Texas, and began working for Fish Engineering & Construction Inc. as a Sr. Process Engineer.
